Entering the Better Kingdom

"VERILY I say unto you: whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein." -Luke 18:17
Jesus of Nazareth, the Creator of the universe, did the unthinkable. Though infinite and timeless, he entered space-time, stepping foot physically on Earth through a virgin birth. He became human!
Then, in accordance with his Father's eternal plan, Jesus allowed himself to be tortured and killed for our sins against him. He died in our place to satisfy the requirements of justice against our evil deeds. This is what we call "atonement," and it was the meaning of Jesus' crucifixion. Instead of our punishment of infinite death, God the Father accepted the death of his infinite Son. It was a sacrifice that no one but Jesus Christ could make. It was the greatest act of love in history.
But is Jesus still dead? No! He rose again after three days, demonstrating that he is the very essence of life! Many religions accept Jesus of Nazareth as a "great man" or a "teacher." But only if Jesus were the actual Creator, as the New Testament affirms, would he be able to turn back death itself.
If you will humble yourself, like a little child, Jesus Christ now invites you into His favor and fellowship with him. He asks you to share in his nature by giving up your own life, with your sin, and taking on his. He asks you to be his disciple – to follow him and know him better every day – by faith, to receive eternal life.
John 20:31 states, "These things are written, that ye might believe (have faith) that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing, ye might have life through his name."
The primary way to gain faith in order to have life in Jesus' name is through reading the Bible, especially the four Gospels. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (Romans 10:17). The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth, as you continue in this Word, which will make you truly free (John 8:32 and 16:13).
